Poem of the Day 6/5/19 – Hollywood

Hollywood

The LAND was destroyed, of course,
Because stars cannot be tied to the earth
And illusions can have no tethers
LAND was destroyed in the service of dreams
With that sacrifice paid,
Hollywood unbound
Transcended the physical plane
Now alive only in the mind
A sign hung by Carl Jung
On hills at the edge of consciousness
Almost Holy
Almost Folly
It’s timber, our timbre
